After reading a UC Berkeley study on homelessness and teens, I was struck by how much stigma impacts public health. According to the study, youth living on the street are 10x more likely to die than their peers. This was a public health crisis I didn't realize existed, and I felt inspired to share the message that stigma hurts, and in many cases, kills.
